As the Founder of Connect2Flourish Coaching, I use a coaching process grounded in the science of positive psychology and awareness coaching. With an Advanced Certificate in Applied Positive Psychology and extensive awareness coach training, I strive to help you connect deeply to yourself and others so that you can choose what flourishing looks like for YOU.
Coaching is an investment in YOU. Your personal growth and effort to choose to show up as your authentic self as often as you can. You'll slip, we all do. We are human and thus we share common humanity. The gift that coaching gives is a safe space to share your truth, feel seen, heard, and valued so you can build self-awareness and remember to trust yourself -so when you slip, you get back up.
I've had a life coach for over a decade. It was through coaching that I learned to shift my mindset from that of a victim to someone who woke up every morning knowing that the day would be shaped by the choices I made. Coaching is a collaborative experience where we discover your goals and passions, then align your strengths and values with them to help you design your future and identify what is getting in your way.
Awareness coaching focuses on the client as knowledgeable, insightful and resourceful. Through the use of various honed skills, the coach works with the client to identify what is getting in the way of their goals, often uncovering the root of an issue or pattern and supports the client through the process of change as needed.
Positive psychology focuses on what makes people lead flourishing lives. According to Christopher Peterson, it uses science to study the positive traits, values, characteristics, and experiences of healthy people and institutions that are flourishing. Application of this science to the field of coaching has many benefits and may foster new perspectives and lead to new insights, as we adopt the practices and leverage various interventions and assessments.
In coaching, we look towards the future and build self-awareness to uncover what is getting in the way of reaching your goals. In therapy, you look to the past and work to heal emotional wounds.

The time that your coaching process will take depends on the complexity of your goals and your commitment and openness to your process. Know it is common that after several months you may feel you've reached a plateau, and that's OK. Coaching is a collaborative journey where we reevaluate, reflect, and change as needed.
